Participation in the Unite! Course of TUDarmstadt "Trends on production Engineering" in Germany
Dec 02, 2025
Professor Joaquim Minguella repeats as a teacher and conducts a lecture and two seminars on 3D Printing.
The course "Trends on production Engineering (a Unite! Joint Lecture)" is an international module of the Unite! (University Network for Innovation Technology and Engineering) organized at the facilities of the PTW-CIP (Institute for Production Management, Technology and Machine Tools-Center for Industrial Productivity) of the TU Darmstadt (Germany), and with participation of professorship from the Institut Politéchnique National de Grenoble (Grenoble INP, France), the Aalto University (Helsinki, Finland) and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).
The second edition of the course has once again had the participation of Professor Joaquim Minguella, who in this case has been able to hold his classes live at the facilities of the PTW institute on the TU-Lichtwwiese Campus thanks to an Erasmus+ KA131 24-26 grant. The content of the theoretical session and the seminars have been the hybridization of conventional production technologies with Additive Manufacturing (AM) techniques for production processes; as well as optimization for AM in relation to other technologies such as plastic injection.
This collaboration reinforces and demonstrates the collaboration of the DEM and the TECNOFAB research group with the universities of the Unite!
Professor Joaquim Minguella Canela is Professor Serra-Húnter (Lecturer) of the Generalitat de Catalunya in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and he is specialized in Manufacturing Processes.
