Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, finalist at LabClin 2025 with two communications selected among the top 10

Two studies were selected as finalists among more than 1300 submissions.
From November 12th to 14th, 2025, Kevin Barrera, professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, attended LabClin 2025 (XIX National Clinical Laboratory Congress).
Two studies from the team were selected as finalists among over 1300 submissions, ranking within the 10 oral presentations chosen by the scientific committee. Finalist authors received an accésit, granting participation priority for next year’s edition. The work was carried out with Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, focusing on artificial intelligence applied to clinical analysis.
